My Own Struggle with ADHD
I have put myself through a lot of trial and error involving extensive research and personal experimentation. This includes attempts to naturally treat ADHD with the goal of not only helping myself but helping others who are struggling with ADHD. I can relate to the struggles of living with ADHD and have empathy for those who get frustrated by a number of people who are simply uneducated about what causes ADHD, as well as the ADHD symptoms associated with it.

However, we are learning that many short-term and long-term side effects can also be associated with these stimulant medications. I have learned that it takes more than prescription medications to successfully manage my ADHD symptoms.
Many of these medications are still widely used. However, research is starting to reveal more of the potentially dangerous short-term and long-term side effects of common stimulant prescription drugs, like Adderall and Ritalin.

ADHD adults or adolescents need to trust me when I say to “PUT THE SMART PHONES AND TABLETS AWAY.”
I am not special because even as I wrote that sentence, I need remind myself of the same thing each and every night. It takes a conscious effort to really do it!
Parents of ADHD children should limit these devices and designate earlier times in the day to use them.
Avoid the Distractions
Adults with ADHD should also designate certain times for mobile electronic devices and stick to a routine schedule for when to turn them off and put them away.
The ADHD brain is naturally more active than others, more “wired” at night, commonly concentrates intensely and both ADHD children and adults with ADHD frequently find it much more difficult to wind down and shut off their active minds.
Taking a warm shower or bath in the evening, perhaps, even soaking in Epsom salts, and immediately followed by a pre-bed calming routine can prove to be effective as well.

Continuing Research for Natural ADHD Remedies
